We had the pleasure of staying at the Ben Nevis Inn recently and genuinely cannot recommend it enough. On arrival we were immediately blown away by the location and views. We found the staff to be very welcoming, attentive and helpful. We had a quick drink (excellent and varied selection by the way!) and were shown to the rooms. The staff clearly take pride in their work, which was reflected by the cleanliness and organisation. All bedding was fresh and clean, and the furnishings and facilities were spotless. Before travelling we had actually made plans to dine elsewhere after our first day walking, but having seen the menu we decided to stay put. This proved to be a great decision as we were hugely impressed with the food and, again, the service provided. I had the chicken and haggis rumbledethumps and my wife had the highland venison sausages. Both were cooked to perfection and you could tell that real care has gone into the selection and sourcing of ingredients. We found that in the evenings the Inn has a very warm atmosphere which makes it the perfect place to wind down after a good hike. We were both agreed that we will definitely be back during summer to see what the Ben Nevis Inn have to offer in warmer weather, and we are looking forward to it already.
Honestly, it doesn’t get much better than this. Grab a pint, head out to the beer garden, and you’ve got a front-row seat to some seriously dramatic mountain views. Big peaks, fresh Highland air, and that relaxed outdoorsy buzz it’s the perfect spot to just sit back and unwind with lovely weather today.
Amazing location, amazing food with huge portions, fast friendly service. The building is perfectly decorated to the location and well harmonised to give you the feeling of the highlands. But for your own benefit, leave the visit after you come down from Ben Nevis, with my son's words "I didn't not think that the burger was bigger then the montain." I chose the place to try haggis and wasn't disappointed.
This place is such a gem. We stayed here on our last night after through-hiking the West Highland Way. It was just the perfect refuge for our tired bunch and the restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate with delicious food, a cold pint, and some amazing live music from a local band. The restaurant gets lively during dinner (in the best kind of way), so be sure to book a table! When we stayed, the inn service was so kind to let us use their drying room for our damp gear, store luggage after check-out, and provide us with extra towels and coffee. We stayed in a bunkhouse room and found it spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were also thankful to have 2 showers for our group of six. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough, both to stay, eat, or stop off for a restorative dram after hiking Ben Nevis.
This was a wonderful little find on our unexpected overnight stay in Glen Nevis. Thankfully now allowing dogs as a trial else we wouldn’t have visited but the drink and food options were great and locally sourced! Highly recommend the Cullin Skink and Burger!! All servers were so friendly and attentive too! Walk was relatively easy from the visitor centre although up hill and given the icy temperatures parts were quite slippery :)
Really delicious food and beer! It’s also well catered to suite the interests of tourists as it serves traditional Scottish food. I came here after doing Ben Nevis and had the haggis neaps and tatties (the best I’ve had) and the cranachan. The Christmas decorations and atmosphere were also on point. Warm, cosy, welcoming and great views of the valley and the mountains. It’s on the more expensive side but definitely worth it. Recommended!
The food is so fresh and delicious. The venison burger is the best we’ve had in Scotland. It was well seasoned, perfectly grilled, and even larger than the Islay beef burger (which was amazing in its own right). Ava took amazing care of us; completing the warm and comforting ambience that defines Ben Nevis.
I really nice pub next to Ben Nevis. Great to relax after a great walk. The building used to be a cow barn for over 200 years and been a pub for 26 years. Food is really good. I had the haggis neeps and tatties for starters and Venison Burger with fries and side salad for the main for lunch and stayed for tea time as well and had fish and chips. Ive not stayed in the accommodation. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I'd recommend a visit
